Abrasive Waterjet cutting of rubber, foam and plastic
Our waterjet cutting services include the processing of paper and plastic materials. We typically cut rubber, glass reinforced plastic and composite foams. Because we are using the latest technology Flow waterjet machines we can produce a very narrow water stream with extremely clean cuts
Edge Quality
When using Intelligent Cutting Solutions (ICS) for your abrasive waterjet services, rest assured that your composites with be returned to you with a high quality edge finish that is free from cracks, delamination and other damage that is typical with mechanical cutting of composites. Because our waterjet cutting services use a stream of water there won’t be any damage that is typical when shearing composites.
Narrow Kerf
We exclusively use Flow waterjet machines and they are known not only for their accuracy but also for their minimal kerfs. The waterjet stream is so narrow that the resulting kerf is only about .040” This allows for us to maximize your material usage, reduce scrap and save you money.
Main advantages of using abrasive waterjet on Composites
- It is a very fast cutting process
- Cut complex shapes easily
- Material up to 10” thick can be cut
- Tolerances of .003” to .005” can be held

How can CMS Airends help you?
If you own a rotary screw compressor and have been faced with the high cost of a factory Airend, you now have a better choice. CMS Airends is one of the largest aftermarket airend rebuilders in the world and has been servicing and rebuilding rotary screw compressor airends since 1977. Our 20,000 square foot facility houses the latest equipment for compressor screw rebuilds. We maintain a complete airend machine shop, fabrication shop, welding shop, and metalizing shop.
Energy costs are rising, and air is a big consumer of energy. If an airend losses efficiency it directly translates into higher energy consumption and thousands of dollars. Your airend is a critical component of your compressed air system.
